Elder Tree Befriending is a preventative service that supports over 1000 people who are over the age of 50 and who live in Plymouth. Our aim is to encourage each individual to remain healthy and to continue to live independently but we are not a provider of domiciliary support.
We deliver over 60 innovative health and social engagement activities and provide volunteers to support our more vulnerable, frail and socially isolated beneficiaries in their homes.
We also support over 100 people who have MCI or a Dementia related illness and we have close working partnerships with Plymouth City Council and the Clinical Commissioning Group, Livewell Southwest, Plymouth Community Homes, Memory Matters Southwest and the Alzheimer’s Society. We do not see older people or their individual circumstances as a business opportunity.
