Elder Tree Befriending

We are a preventative service that has a physical presence across every neighbourhood in Plymouth. We support over 1,600 people over the age of 50 each week, and champion their continued independent living in their own home but we are not a provider of domiciliary or enabling support.

We deliver over 85 innovative health and social engagement activities in 50 different locations city-wide - these aim to improve physical and mental health and wellbeing.  We are supported by 160 volunteers, many of whom engage with our most vulnerable, frail and socially isolated beneficiaries in their homes.
